Basketball Recap: Irving vs. Norman Thomas Tigers

They were dealt a 103-43 defeat at the hands of the Norman Thomas Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Irving this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 106-19 back in December of 2024.

Norman Thomas' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chris Taylor led the charge by shooting 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropping a double-double on 31 points and 11 boards. Taylor has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more rebounds the last nine times he's played. Jariel Rodriguez was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 29 points and nine assists.

Irving's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Norman Thomas, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-8.
