Basketball Recap: Mt. Healthy Comes Up Short

Mt. Healthy managed to slip by Edgewood the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Fighting Owls were dealt a 70-39 defeat at the hands of the Cougars on Wednesday. The contest marked the Fighting Owls' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Mt. Healthy's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Edgewood, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Healthy will be home for the holidays to greet Talawanda at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Fighting Owls will be up against the Brave's rather soft defense (which has allowed 49.67 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Edgewood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bellbrook at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
