Baseball Recap: Otay Ranch Mustangs vs. Escondido Cougars        
        
		
            
 After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Mira Mesa, Otay Ranch was happy to have turned things around  on Wednesday. They won by a  run and slipped past the Escondido Cougars  6-5.
  Tomas Sanchez looked comfortable as he  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks).
 On the hitting side, Otay Ranch let  Ricky Aguilar and  Cory Salazar loose on the outfield. Aguilar  went 4-for-4 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI, while  Salazar  scored a  run while going 3-for-3.
 Otay Ranch's win bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Escondido, their loss was  their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 6-10.
 Otay Ranch will be playing at home against Sweetwater at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. The last three games Sweetwater has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Escondido, they will be staying on the road  on Tuesday to face off against Ramona at 4:00  p.m.
