Basketball Recap: Columbia Comes Up Short

Columbia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 25th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 32-9 to the C.A. Johnson Hornets. If the Capitals were looking for revenge after losing 50-18 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Amillieon Prescott was Columbia's leading scorer, having posted four points. Aalisah Davis held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.

Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for C.A. Johnson, they moved to 2-6 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Columbia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-17 loss against Richland Northeast on the 10th. C.A. Johnson has also already played their next match, a 47-24 victory against Lewisville on the 10th.
