Walnut Grove had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.4 goals) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes a 6-0 shutout. Considering Walnut Grove have won ten matches by more than three goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Walnut Grove pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 35 goals over those six games. As for Monroe Area, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
