Basketball Recap: South Point Takes a Loss

South Point was the 50-48 winner over Portsmouth when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The South Point Pointers fell 55-45 to the Portsmouth Trojans on Tuesday. The Pointers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Point's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Portsmouth, they pushed their record up to 5-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

South Point has already played their next matchup (against Gallia Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Portsmouth will square off against Chesapeake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chesapeake will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Portsmouth surely won't give up without a fight.
