Baseball Recap: Solorio Sun Warriors vs. Oak Lawn Spartans

Solorio had lost seven straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 8-17 to make it eight. They lost 17-7 to the Oak Lawn Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sun Warriors of the 5-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Sebastian Davila-Adames and Juan Barrientos stepped up to the plate in a big way. Davila-Adames went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Barrientos went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Looking ahead, Solorio will take on Marian Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oak Lawn, they will challenge De La Salle at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Meteors will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
