Recap: Eisenhower Knights vs. Clymer Central Pirates

The Eisenhower Knights entered their tilt with the Clymer Central Pirates with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Eisenhower enjoyed a cozy 54-37 win over Clymer Central on Thursday. Given Eisenhower's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 270th in Pennsylvania, while Clymer Central is ranked 569th in New York), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Clymer Central still got an impressive performance from Kaden Beckerink, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Beckerink continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Jonathan Massing was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 12 rebounds.

Eisenhower pushed their record up to 7-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.9 points per game. As for Clymer Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Eisenhower will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Saegertown at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Clymer Central won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Northwestern at 6:00 p.m. on December 29th. Northwestern is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
