Baseball Recap: Mountain Ridge Makes It 15 in a Row at Home

Mountain Ridge took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Riverton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Sentinels came out on top in a nail-biter against the Silverwolves on Tuesday, sneaking past 7-6. The victory was nothing new for the Sentinels as they're now sitting on four straight.

The team relied heavily on Ethan Iacono, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Leo Bacciocco also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Mountain Ridge's win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Riverton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season.
