Baseball Recap: Western Falls to Clay in First Game of Season

Western had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clay Panthers. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 21 in a row.

Western saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Henderson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Clay has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Western and Clay will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Western will take on rival Oak Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Clay is set to square off against their familiar foe Green at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
