Cortland won the last time they faced Mexico and things went their way on Thursday too. The Purple Tigers put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 10-2 victory. Considering the Purple Tigers have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Zach Muir made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
