Volleyball Recap: Winter Park Wildcats vs. Plant Panthers

Winter Park had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged the Plant Panthers out 3-2 on Saturday. The Wildcats are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 23 straight.

Winter Park was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-21, 21-25, 25-17, 16-14.

Despite the defeat, Plant saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ella Horvick had 13 digs. Horvick is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in the last four games she's played.

Winter Park's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 28-1. As for Plant, their loss ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 22-2.

As of now, neither Winter Park nor Plant have any future games scheduled.
