Basketball Game Preview: Bunker Hill Minutemen vs. Tri-City Tornadoes + How To Watch

The Bunker Hill Minutemen will challenge the Tri-City Tornadoes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Tuesday, Bunker Hill came up short against Greenfield/Northwestern and fell 53-45. The Minutemen have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Peter Jarden, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 10 points and seven rebounds. Jarden is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Bryce Yates was another key player, putting up six points in addition to five assists and five blocks.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tri-City). They walked away with a 45-38 victory over Cerro Gordo/Bement on Tuesday. The game was the first time the Tornadoes have beaten the Broncos on their court since November 28, 2017.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bunker Hill fell to 2-1. As for Tri-City, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Bunker Hill couldn't quite get it done against Tri-City in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 as they fell 57-45.
