League recap: Geneva County tops St. Jude Educational Institute to extend winning streak

Adding to the longest winning streak in 1A Region 2 this week, Geneva County beat St. Jude Educational Institute 33-6. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Geneva County scaled the state rankings by moving to 188 from 226 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Bulldogs were able to move up by beating the Pirates 33-6.
Kinston's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Pat Smith has thrown for 1,204 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, while Dillon Odom has 18 catches for 289 yards.
Geneva County led the league in scoring this week after putting up 33 points on St. Jude Educational Institute.
