Fountain Hills had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.5 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They breezed by the Madison Highland Prep Heat to the tune of 62-7. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while the Heat are ranked 304th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fountain Hills has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.3 points per game. As for Madison Highland Prep, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Fountain Hills will head out on the road to square off against Scottsdale Preparatory Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Scottsdale Preparatory Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Fountain Hills likes a good challenge. Madison Highland Prep has already played their next contest (against Phoenix Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
