Baseball Recap: Westfield Comes Up Short

Westfield managed to slip by Minnechaug Regional the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bombers lost 8-0 to the Falcons on Sunday. The Bombers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

This is the second loss in a row for Westfield and nudges their season record down to 9-5. As for Minnechaug Regional, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-6.

Coming up, Westfield will welcome Chicopee Comp at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. The Bombers are facing the Colts at the right time seeing as the Colts are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Minnechaug Regional, they will square off against Agawam at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. The Falcons are on a four-game streak of home wins, the Brownies a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
