Softball Recap: Verrado Vipers vs. Tolleson Wolverines
Verrado got themselves on the board against Tolleson on Monday, but Tolleson never followed suit. They came out on top against the Wolverines by a score of 4-0. The Vipers haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Not much got past Jill Ryan, who gave up just six hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Tolleson off the board. Ryan has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Faith Grabau was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Leanna Antillon, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.
Verrado's record now sits at 20-6. As for Tolleson, they moved to 14-9 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
Coming up, Verrado will head out on the road to face off against Paradise Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.17 runs per game on average), something the Vipers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Tolleson, they will be playing at home against West Point at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
