 The third road  contest was the charm for Mt. Pleasant, as they earned their first road win of the season. They came out on top against the Brownsville Falcons by a score of  5-2  on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mt. Pleasant also won the last time the pair played  back in April of 2023.
  Jacob Kitz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Luke Nicotera, who  went 1-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI.  Cole Chatfield was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 On Brownsville's side,  Trenton Wible was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring a  run and  stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.
 Mt. Pleasant is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record  this season. As for Brownsville, they  haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
 Mt. Pleasant will have a chance to go back-to-back against Brownsville: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
