Basketball Recap: Ridge View Victorious

Ridge View posted their closest win since January 23rd on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the J.L. Mann Patriots, sneaking past 42-40. The Blazers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

Among those leading the charge was Anasia Harvey, who went 7 of 11 on her way to 15 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Janiya Carter, who posted seven points.

J.L. Mann's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Breah Franks, who had seven points in addition to 14 rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Imari Richardson, who posted eight points along with 13 rebounds and four steals.

Ridge View now has a winning record of 2-1.

Ridge View didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 41-21 loss against North Augusta on the 30th. As for J.L. Mann, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 62-55 defeat against First Baptist School on the 30th.
