Brownstown Central took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Seymour, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Braves narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Owls 4-2. This was a revenge game for the Braves: when they faced off against the Owls on Monday, they had to take a 10-3 loss.

Shyla Steele spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brownstown Central let Jaylee Yeadon and Alex Davidson run wild. Yeadon went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Davidson went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs. Kinzee Dean was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Brownstown Central's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7. As for Seymour, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4.
