Volleyball Recap: Portville Extends Winning Streak to Three

Portville entered their tilt with Southwestern on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Trojans 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Portville was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-8, 25-11.

Ali Haynes paced Portville's offense, picking up 17 kills. Haynes got some help from Addie Walker and her 31 assists. Leigha Stives controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Portville's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Southwestern, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Portville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Dunkirk on the 15th. As for Southwestern, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Chautauqua Lake on the 16th.
