Basketball Recap: Onalaska Takes Down Franklin in a Playoff Battle

Onalaska extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Franklin. They walked away with a 62-52 win over the Franklin Lions. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Onalaska's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Spencer Green, who went 6-for-14 en route to 19 points. Another player making a difference was Devon Vienneau, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten boards.

Onalaska smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 37 consecutive games.

Onalaska's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 32-6. As for Franklin, with the loss, they broke their 17-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-8.

Looking ahead, Onalaska will square off against Hitchcock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hitchcock will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Onalaska surely won't give up without a fight. Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
