Preview: McCall-Donnelly Vandals vs. Buhl Indians
The McCall-Donnelly Vandals will be playing at home against the Buhl Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (McCall-Donnelly is ranked 34th, while Buhl is ranked 45th).
After soaring to 59 points the game before, McCall-Donnelly were a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a serious blow against Homedale, falling 34-7. McCall-Donnelly was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.
Meanwhile, Buhl strolled past Filer with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 41-24.
Buhl got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gabe Finley out in front who threw for 162 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Riley Brunson was another key contributor, rushing for 110 yards and two touchdowns.
McCall-Donnelly's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Buhl, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
McCall-Donnelly came up short against Buhl in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 12-6. Thankfully for McCall-Donnelly, Jayce Bower (who rushed for 248 yards and a touchdown) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
