            Mt. Hope is on  a 15-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Cranston East an eight-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck  on Thursday. The Mt. Hope Huskies will welcome the Cranston East Thunderbolts  at 4:00  p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Tuesday just wasn't the day for Mt. Hope's offense. They lost  6-0 to La Salle Academy on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Cranston East suffered their closest  defeat since May 3rd on Wednesday. They fell just short of Portsmouth by a score of  5-3.
 Jeu Leon was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-low in  walks (one). He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with three  stolen bases and two  RBI.
 Leon wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Ethan Torres, who  went 2-for-4 with one  run and one  double.
 Cranston East's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Mt. Hope, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-17.
