Softball Recap: Manchester Blue Devils vs. Mt. Zion Eagles

Manchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 12-7 to the Mt. Zion Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 8-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.

Taylor King made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and a double. What's more, she also racked up two hits, the mostshe's had since back in August. Another player making a difference was Arley Harbin, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Even though they lost, Manchester always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Manchester's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Mt. Zion, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-14.
