Spring had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Nimitz Cougars by a score of 9-6. Nine seems to be a good number for the Lions as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Moises Arb was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Anthony Cuarenta, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Spring hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nimitz struck out nine times.

Spring pushed their record up to 18-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Nimitz, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Spring will have a chance to go back-to-back against Nimitz: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
