Baseball Recap: Holliday Comes Up Short

Holliday fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Iowa Park on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Iowa Park Hawks by a score of 3-2. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Holliday saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Whitley, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Holliday now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Iowa Park, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

While Holliday had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
