Baseball Game Preview: Jackson Day Mariners vs. Queen's Grant Stallions

For the second straight game, Jackson Day will face off against Queen's Grant. The Mariners will be playing at home against the Stallions at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Queen's Grant kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 3.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.6.

Queen's Grant's victory bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Jackson Day, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Wednesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Jackson Day has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .433. However, it's not like Queen's Grant struggles in that department as they've averaged .438. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
