Basketball Game Preview: Austin Mustangs vs. Waltrip Rams

The Austin Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Waltrip Rams at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Friday, Austin took a blow against Spring Woods, falling 58-29. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Waltrip was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 60-23 loss at the hands of Westbury.

Waltrip's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Austin, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Austin beat Waltrip 44-32 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Will Austin repeat their success, or does Waltrip have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
