Everything went their way against the International Leadership of Texas Keller Eagles on Tuesday as the Castleberry Lions made off with a 20-9 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.
The team relied heavily on Josselyn Trejo, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, five runs, and six RBI. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Medina, who scored five runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
Castleberry was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Castleberry's victory bumped their record up to 4-11-1. As for International Leadership of Texas Keller, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
