It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Southeast Guilford can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 58-21 loss at the hands of the Grimsley Whirlies. The Falcons have struggled against the Whirlies recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Alexander Marsh rushed for 39 yards. On the ground, Teriq Mclaughlin rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown.

It was another big night for Mitchell Summers, who rushed for 240 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.0 yards per carry for Grimsley. Summers is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last 15 games he's played dating back to last season. Faizon Brandon was another key player, throwing for 149 yards and two touchdowns.

Southeast Guilford's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5. As for Grimsley, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
