Recap: Lourdes Academy vs. Miami Beach Hi-Tides
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lourdes Academy walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Hi-Tides 56-15 on the road. Lourdes Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.
Luciana Picasso continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a triple-double on 16 points, 11 rebounds, and nine steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sophia Sandoval, who scored 14 points along with five assists and four steals.
Lourdes Academy's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Miami Beach, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
Lourdes Academy will square off against Dr. Krop at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Miami Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
