Basketball Recap: Bosque Comes Up Short

Bosque was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were beaten by the Cottonwood Classical Prep Coyotes 59-26. The Bobcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Coyotes earlier this season, when they won 44-30.

Cottonwood Classical Prep found their leader in sophomore Ryah Carlson, who went 10 for 15 on her way to 23 points and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Carlson has scored at least a third of Cottonwood Classical Prep's points. Another player making a difference was Olivia Bischoff, who posted six points.

Bosque's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Cottonwood Classical Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-18 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bosque will take on Cuba at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cuba will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Bosque surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cottonwood Classical Prep, they will challenge Sandia Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
