Basketball Recap: Canyon Maxwell's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Grace Academy over Founders Classical Academy

Grace Academy suffered their closest defeat since December 5, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Founders Classical Academy Archers by a score of 45-42. Grace Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Founders Classical Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Grace Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Canyon Maxwell, who posted 11 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bryce McIver, who had ten points and five boards.

Grace Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Founders Classical Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Grace Academy will be playing at home against St. Andrew's at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Founders Classical Academy, they will face off against Meridian at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
