Despite the loss, John Paul II Catholic saw an underclassman step up: Caleb Knight scored 14 points. Jamal Biggs was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
John Paul II Catholic has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Wayne Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
John Paul II Catholic will be playing at home against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
