Basketball Recap: Amari Clarke's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Washington Leadership Academy over Digital Pioneers Academy

Washington Leadership Academy played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Digital Pioneers Academy Pythons, falling 63-40. If Washington Leadership Academy was looking for revenge after losing 71-38 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Several Washington Leadership Academy players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amari Clarke, who posted 16 points. Zyahir Mack was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Washington Leadership Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Digital Pioneers Academy, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-6.

As for Digital Pioneers Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-21 victory against Richard Wright Public Charter School on the 16th.
