Volleyball Recap: Rye Thunderbolts vs. West Grand Mustangs
Rye had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the West Grand Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 victory on Sunday. Winning may never get old, but the Thunderbolts sure are getting used to it with their 14th in a row.
Rye was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-21.
Isabella Bond paced Rye's offense, picking up 13 kills. Bond got some help from
Kelsy Stribling and her 32 assists. Finally, Bond was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.
Rye pushed their record up to 21-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. As for West Grand, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-8.
