Football Recap: Middletown South Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Middletown South and Middletown North squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Middletown South had to settle for second. They fell 28-19 to the Lions. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Matthew Belenko had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 172 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.6 yards per carry for Middletown North. Belenko's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards. Kade Little made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

This is the second loss in a row for Middletown South and nudges their season record down to 3-6. As for Middletown North, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Middletown South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Middletown North, they will challenge Manalapan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
