Volleyball Recap: Cincinnati Christian Takes a Loss

Cincinnati Christian lost against Summit Country Day back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars came up short against the Silver Knights, falling 3-0. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Cincinnati Christian took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-12, 25-16.

Maddy Jones paced Cincinnati Christian's offense, picking up eight kills. Jones got some help from Anna Bowling and her 14 assists.

Leading Summit Country Day to victory were Gabi McCauley and Rylee Jewell. McCauley had ten digs and four aces, while Jewell had 11 digs and nine assists. Jewell is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Cincinnati Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Summit Country Day, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

Cincinnati Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Batavia on the 11th. As for Summit Country Day, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Badin on the 11th.
