Volleyball Recap: Marvin Academy Christian Falls to Weddington Christian Academy in First Game of Season

Marvin Academy Christian had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Weddington Christian Academy Hawks by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Marvin Academy Christian sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 21-25, 15-9.

Weddington Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Weddington Christian Academy will be playing at home against Union Preparatory at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Marvin Academy Christian will be paying especially close attention to the Hawks' contest: after the Hawks face off against Non Varsity Opponent, they'll take on Marvin Academy Christian again at 5:30 p.m. on the 25th.
