If Athens wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Burr Oak, they should've done a better job of containing Kayden Cole. The Burr Oak Bobcats simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Athens Indians 73-43 thanks to Cole, who went 12-for-28 en route to 33 points in addition to six assists and five steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kaynen Ledyard, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 14 points and five boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in shooting accuracy (71%).

Burr Oak has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points over those games. As for Athens, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Burr Oak has already played their next contest, a 72-52 defeat against Bellevue on the 7th. As for Athens, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 52-46 loss against Heritage Christian Academy on the 7th.
