Recap: Sweet Springs Greyhounds vs. Wellington-Napoleon Tigers

After flying high against the Norborne Pirates last Thursday, the Sweet Springs Greyhounds came back down to earth. Sweet Springs ended up on the wrong side of a rough 57-31 walloping at the hands of Wellington-Napoleon on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Sweet Springs has suffered yet this season.

Trotter Hughes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wellington-Napoleon, scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Hughes has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Best, who scored ten points along with four steals.

Sweet Springs has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Wellington-Napoleon, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-8.

Sweet Springs will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Marshall at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th. Wellington-Napoleon on the road again on Tuesday and play against Lawson at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
