Softball Recap: Davenport Takes a Loss

Davenport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Reardan Screaming Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gorillas of the 23-20 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Davenport's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Reardan, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Reardan will be playing in front of their home fans against Northwest Christian School at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Davenport will be paying especially close attention to Reardan's match: after Reardan faces off against Northwest Christian School, they'll take on Davenport again at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
