Recap: Apprentice Academy Red Wolves vs. Sugar Creek Wildcats
This season hasn't been kind to the Apprentice Academy Red Wolves, who are still winless after their eighth matchup. They were beaten by Sugar Creek 97-32 on Thursday. Apprentice Academy has struggled against Sugar Creek recently, as their match on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Sugar Creek to victory were Terry Watson and Aidan Gatewood. Watson scored 24 points along with two steals and two blocks, while Gatewood dropped a triple-double on 17 points, ten rebounds, and 12 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Watson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Corde Harrison, who scored 12 points along with five assists and three steals.
Apprentice Academy bumped their record down to 0-8 with that defeat, which was their 18th straight on the road. As for Sugar Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
Apprentice Academy will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Valor Preparatory Academy at 6:00 p.m. As for Sugar Creek, they will head out on the road to take on Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
