The Silas Rams will square off against the Lakes Lancers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Silas was handed a 15-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They had just enough and edged out North Thurston 11-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Silas has posted since April 22, 2024.

Natalie Medalia was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and nine unearned) runs off ten hits. Stout was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Miley Graulau was incredible, going 3-for-4 with six RBI, two stolen bases, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Mercy Chukwu, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Lakes always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .839. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.

Silas now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Lakes, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Lakes' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Silas has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. It's a different story for Lakes, though, as they've been averaging 10.1 hits. Given Silas' sizable advantage in that area, the Lancers will need to find a way to close that gap.
