Volleyball Recap: Mountain Island Charter Comes Up Short

Mountain Island Charter was the 3-2 winner over Hopewell when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mountain Island Charter Raptors fell just short of the Hopewell Titans by a score of 3-2 on Monday. While the Raptors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Titans 25-19 in the first set.

Mountain Island Charter started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 23-25, 25-12, 25-18, 15-11.

Mountain Island Charter's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Mountain Island Charter will challenge East Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hopewell, they will square off against Woodlawn at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
