Basketball Recap: Trinity Comes Up Short

Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 98-50 loss at the hands of the Denver City Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1589th, while the Mustangs are ranked 693rd).

Trinity's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Denver City, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.

Trinity will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Midland Classical Academy at 8:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Denver City, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 86-47 defeat against Brownfield on the 17th.
