A Season-Best Effort from Cole Stafford Leads Laville over Whiting

On Friday, LaVille got the W thanks in part to Cole Stafford playing the best football he has all season. Stafford rushed for 255 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 35 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

LaVille's win bumped their record up to 4-5. They and West Central are set to duel on Friday.

Another Game with at Least 102 Rushing Yards from Jake Conroy

Knox was led to victory by Jake Conroy, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Conroy's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 102 rushing yards. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 61 yards.

Knox pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Conroy and Knox will head out to challenge River Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tyrus Graverson's Big Game Leads Bremen over Tippecanoe Valley

Tyrus Graverson posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He picked up 121 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He has become a key player for Bremen: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns, but 1-4 otherwise.

On the season, Graverson has caught 6 touchdowns while averaging 104.8 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he had three receiving touchdowns.

Jon Neese put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 23 yards and two touchdowns.

Unfortunately for Whiting, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Neese. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Neese saw the Oilers), he rushed for 76 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.
