Basketball Game Preview: Asheville Christian Academy Lions vs. Greensboro Day School Bengals

The Asheville Christian Academy Lions will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Greensboro Day School Bengals at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Greensboro Day School took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Asheville Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.

Asheville Christian Academy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took down Kings Mountain 43-27.

Sara Larios continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 11 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Asheville Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ansley Fuchs, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Greensboro Day School's good fortune finally ran out last Saturday. They fell 61-48 to Bishop McGuinness.

Asheville Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Greensboro Day School, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.

Asheville Christian Academy took a serious blow against Greensboro Day School when the teams last played back in November of 2023, falling 75-26. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Asheville Christian Academy was down 48-18.
