The Summit SkyHawks will face off against the Jurupa Hills Spartans at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Summit will be strutting in after a win while Jurupa Hills will be coming in after a defeat.
On Wednesday, Summit was able to grind out a solid victory over Carter, taking the game 8-5.

Desi Varerla looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Summit let Isabella Smith and Clarissa Leon run wild. Smith went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Leon got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Isabella Cardona, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Kaiser hit Jurupa Hills with a four-run first inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Spartans came up short against the Cats, falling 10-3. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jurupa Hills also got a good showing from Juliana Sepulvida, who tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. That's the fewest earned runs Sepulvida has allowed since back in February.
On the hitting side, Jurupa Hills saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylin Olguin, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Isabela Torres was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Summit pushed their record up to 12-9 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Jurupa Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.
Summit took their win against Jurupa Hills in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 11-2 score. Do the SkyHawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
